Beth’s profile
Beth Peakall holds a BA in Political Science from Carleton Unversity in Ottawa, Canada, and an MSc in Housing from deMontfort University in Leicester, UK. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), serving as an Education Officer. She also belongs to the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). She also holds a D32/33 Assessors award, which means she can assess National Vocational Qualifications (NVQS) in Housing and several other fields.
Beth has worked in social housing since 1990, beginning with housing co-operatives in Canada. Since returning to England in 1993 she has worked in social housing in a variety of settings. Working with people has always been a passion. Helping them to grow and develop – to see that change opens up a world of possibilities – is rewarding. Beth is able to help people make exciting contributions both professionally and personally. Beth is a columnist for 24dash.com, writing regularly on housing issues.
Harry’s profile Harry Albright studied journalism at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He has had a varied career in journalism, public relations and business management. He is a fellow of the RSA and a school governor. Harry is an expert in communication, and he can help Housing Associations of any size improve the effectiveness of their internal and external communications. Harry lived in Housing Co-operatives for many years, serving as vice-president of the board of Needlewood Housing Co-op in Waterloo, Canada of which he was a founding member. As VP he served as a liaison between the management company and the members, representing their concerns and formulating policy.
He has also worked for the Housing Corporation.
